Frequently asked questions

How do AI credits work?
Every paid AI action consumes credits from your monthly pool. Auto project setup costs 5 credits, Release notes generator costs 2, AI convert-to-task costs 1, and the Frostbyte agent uses 1–2 credits per message. Credits reset every month — unused credits don't roll over.
What happens if I run out of credits?
AI features are gated until your pool refills next billing cycle. Everything else — projects, tasks, MCP, plugin, GitHub, Feedback Hub — keeps working normally. You can also upgrade mid-cycle to unlock a bigger pool immediately.
Do collaborators count as paid seats?
No. Frostbyte uses flat workspace pricing — you pay one price for the whole team, no matter how many collaborators you invite. A 5-person team pays the same as a 1-person team on the same plan.
Are AI credits per-user or per-workspace?
Per-workspace. The whole team shares one credit pool, so anyone collaborating on a project can spend credits without separate billing.
Can I cancel or downgrade anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your billing settings — no contracts, no exit fees. If you downgrade to Free your data stays intact, but you're capped to Free's limits (1 project, 250 active tasks, 10 AI credits/month).
What's the difference between MCP and the Frostbyte agent?
MCP is the protocol that lets your existing AI agent (Claude Code, Codex) read and update your Frostbyte workspace. The Frostbyte agent is a built-in chat assistant inside Frostbyte itself — for users without a coding agent, or who want a workspace-aware chat alongside one.
When do "Coming soon" features ship?
Frostbyte agent, Custom domain, Custom branding, and Embedded widgets are on the roadmap and will roll out across upcoming releases. Subscribing to a plan that lists them grants access automatically when they ship — no upgrade required.
Is there a free trial of paid plans?
The Free plan is forever-free with no credit card required, so you can try every feature class (MCP, plugin, AI, Feedback Hub) before deciding to upgrade. A standalone trial of Basic and Pro is on the roadmap.
