Projects
Create, configure, and archive projects. Visibility settings, project status, and per-tier project limits.
A project is the top-level workspace. Each project has its own releases, areas, tasks, members, activity feed, and an optional public Feedback Hub.
Creating a project
Click New project from the projects index, or use the keyboard shortcut. You'll need:
- Name, short and recognisable. The product, client, or codebase name your team already uses.
- Status, defaults to active. Archive any time.
- Visibility, private (members only) or public (anyone with the link can read; only members can edit).
Free tier limits you to one project; Basic raises that to five, Pro+ removes the cap. See Plans and limits.
The dashboard
Every project opens to a dashboard. It shows:
- The current active release with progress bars per status.
- A list of areas with task counts per area.
- The latest activity entries, see Activity feed.
From the dashboard, jump to the Tasks board, the Releases page, or any individual area or task by clicking through.
Archiving and deleting
Archiving hides a project from your default index but keeps all data intact. Unarchive any time from the archived-projects view.
Deleting is permanent. All releases, areas, tasks, activity, and Feedback Hub data are removed. Frostbyte does not recover deleted projects, export to CSV first if you want a backup. See CSV import and export.
Project settings
The project settings page (gear icon in the project sidebar) covers:
- Rename the project.
- Visibility toggle.
- Members, invite, remove, and view collaborators. See Team & invites.
- Feedback Hub setup if you're on Basic+. See Feedback hub setup.
- GitHub integration for Basic+. See GitHub integration.
